Something you probably don't want to hear is that in order to make large amounts of money, however quickly it happens during the latter stages of your operations, in the beginning you will be required to have a lot of patience, supported by some hard work and a lot of effort that comes with getting everything all set up and in place.
You may hear of stories of how someone became a millionaire overnight. Although their bank account may have grown from zero to a million in 24 hours, that momentary transfer of funds was most likely a culmination of a lot of time put in, prior to the conclusion of that million dollar deal.
Even in the case of internet startups that received a lot of funding, or realized a lot of profits, while the changing of money may have happened over a short time, the actual creation of those money-making assets and honing them into money spinners of value, took much longer, with lots of hard work going on behind the scenes.
It is never too late to start a long-term money-making venture, but you will have to get it out of your head that the money will come in very quickly.
Yes, at some stage you could be making a lot of money very quickly, but it won't happen over night or over a couple of weeks. Just as everything else in this life, you will run into problems and experience obstacles that will derail you for a while, and you'll also have to adjust a bit of your operations here and there, now and then.
At other times you might even have to re-evaluate everything and make a complete change in your strategy.
So, the key to turning what little (or a lot) you may have, into more money, you will have to create a structure that posses as an asset of value, working on it until it reaches levels where a lot of money comes in very quickly.
An example of this concept lies in website sales pages. You can't just slap together some sales copy, design an e-book cover, buy a domain name (with hosting), write your e-book and go live with your sales page, expecting to have $5,000 in the morning when you wake up.
It's an entire process to conceptualize some valuable information that will be in demand, write professional sales copy (or hire a copywriter), fix any errors, hire a professional graphics designer who will create an e-book cover according to the idea in your head, choose an appropriate domain name that is available, publish the completed site, get visitors and see if it actually converts.
Once all of these issues have been sorted out and you have found a winning formula, your sales page could then reach a stage where traffic comes in automatically and you have very high conversion rates that amass sales for you while you sleep.
The bottom line is that it is a process and you should be willing to put some time into it until it reaches a stage where the money comes in on its own.
